Business Trip to Tokyo

And back, of course.

It had been quite some long time since I last flew Air France and I must say that – except for a scare at landing – the experience was really great. Checking in in Brussels was a breeze – as you travel in Business Class, you can wait in the Thalys lounge.

The flight was long (detour around Russia…) but comfortable, the crew was present but not imposing… The space for your feet was commendable – as this is not always the case in BC.

Notice how spacious the space for feet is as you can set your backpack upright!

Trust the french to have great food on board. Both flights, food was superb

In Tokyo, I stayed at the Hilton Tokyo. The hotel is a great choice if you need to be in Shinjuku or if you are OK to take the subway. It is directly connected to the subway.

The service is impeccable, the rooms well equipped, and – if you have access – the Executive Lounge is a great addition to the different food outlets as is also great roomservice.

Returning from Haneda airport, you need to know that check-in only opens 3 hours before departure. If you don’t know what to do, you can have some excellent sushi on the first floor.

Great sushi can be found at the counter on the first floor at Haneda airport
